The Mahāmṛtyuñjaya — the great death-conquering mantra

ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम् ।

उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्मृत्योर्मुक्षीय माऽमृतात् ॥

oṃ tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭivardhanam |

urvārukam iva bandhanān mṛtyor mukṣīya mā'mṛtāt ||

We worship the Three-Eyed One, fragrant, who makes all life flourish. As a ripe gourd is freed from its vine, may I be freed from death — and not from immortality.

Ṛgveda 7.59.12 — also in the Yajurveda. Read the verse, its meaning and its source →
